Butler Rubin Co-Sponsors AIRROC Education Day

CHICAGO, June 4, 2018 – Butler Rubin is co-sponsoring an Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-Off Companies’ (AIRROC) Education Day at the American Bar Association on June 12, 2018 in Chicago.  Butler Rubin partners Karen Borg and Teresa Snider will provide an overview of the peer-to-peer insurance model, identification of the potential pitfalls in implementation, and discussion of real-world successes and failures.

Borg concentrates her practice in complex commercial litigation and arbitrations, with a particular focus on insurance disputes. She also has extensive experience with products liability and mass tort litigation, as well as bankruptcy matters.  Beyond her work as a litigator, Borg is the co-chair of the firm’s Diversity and Associate Development Committees and serves as one of the co-chairs of Butler Rubin’s annual Women in Reinsurance program.

Snider concentrates her practice in insurance and reinsurance arbitration, litigation, and related insolvency issues. She is a member of Butler Rubin’s Management Committee and was recognized by Business Insurance as a 2017 Women to Watch and named to Intelligent Insurer’s list of the Most Influential Women in Re/Insurance 2017.  In 2018, Lawdragon named Snider one of America’s Leading 500 Lawyers.  And, she was recognized in the 2018 editions of Chambers USA and The Legal 500 United States.
