Butler Rubin Hosts Annual “Women In Reinsurance” Event In New York City

CHICAGO, October 31, 2014 – The Chicago-based law firm Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP will host its annual Women in ReinsuranceTM (WIR) event on November 12th featuring speaker and journalist Pamela Ryckman.  Founded by Butler Rubin, WIR regularly sponsors events of interest to professional women in the reinsurance industry and fosters networking and information sharing.

Butler Rubin partners Julie Rodriguez Aldort, Karen Borg, Randi Ellias, Catherine Isely, Teresa Snider and Ursula Taylor will host the WIR program at the Michelangelo Hotel in New York.

At the 2014 WIR event, Ryckman, author of the acclaimed STILETTO NETWORK: Inside the Women’s Power Circles That Are Changing the Face of Business, will discuss how women can create and mobilize their own networks, both within and outside their organizations, for career advancement and results.  She will explain how, once created, these networks steer conversation and content for maximum business impact; how they help members script difficult conversations around promotion, compensation, and risk; and how they enable women to promote themselves and each other to become more visible leaders.

Ryckman’s mission is identifying and catalyzing a powerful nationwide trend – female success and advancement.  More women are running major companies than ever before.  While still far too few in number, these women are the forerunners of a radical shift in power.  Recently, Stiletto Network groups have been meeting across industries and cities providing women with networks to celebrate and unwind, debate and compare notes.

Formed in 1980, Chicago-based Butler Rubin has established itself as a well-known litigation boutique assisting clients nationally and internationally in complex business disputes, including antitrust litigation and competition law; class actions; defense of corporate directors and officers; reinsurance; insurance coverage; managed care litigation; insolvency; creditors’ rights; and products liability and mass tort matters.
