David Winters Invited to Speak on Cybersecurity

CHICAGO, March 8, 2017 – Butler Rubin partner David Winters will be speaking at American Conference Institute’s 8th Annual Advanced Forum on Managed Care Disputes and Litigation in Philadelphia, PA on May 3, 2017 on “Cybersecurity and Service Providers: Strategies for Keeping Compliant when Dealing with Outside Vendors.”  Winters’ panel will discuss:

  • Analysis of New State and Federal Information Security Regulations
  • Vendor Management Best Practices
    • Developing information security plans to keep information protected when you have little oversight
    • Explaining HIPAA to third parties who handle your information

Winters is a trial lawyer who concentrates his practice on complex business litigation, including healthcare disputes. In 2016, Winters received the CIPP/US designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), indicating that he is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. private-sector.  CIPP certification is the global standard for privacy laws and regulation.
