Ursula Taylor Named A Partner At Chicago’s Butler Rubin Law Firm

CHICAGO, January 2, 2014 – Associate Ursula A. Taylor has been named a partner at the Chicago law firm Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP. She joined Butler Rubin in 2007 after working as a litigation associate at Vedder Price.

Taylor litigates and advises clients with respect to reinsurance, managed care, ERISA and complex commercial disputes. In the managed care and ERISA areas, she has litigated breach of fiduciary duty claims, breach of contract claims, ERISA preemption issues and the duty of prudence in claims handling. In the insurance and reinsurance areas, she has experience with coverage issues, bad faith allegations, duty to defend issues, obligations to follow settlements, access to records and notice issues. Taylor also has experience representing and counseling clients with respect to class actions, complex damages issues, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), conspiracy claims, fraud allegations and contract and quasi-contractual theories of recovery.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Taylor earned her law degree,cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law in 2005, where she was a participant on the Bartlitt Beck Trial Team.

Taylor is an Associate Board member of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and will be co-chairing Butler Rubin’s Women in Reinsurance initiative in 2014.
