Albert E. Fowerbaugh, Jr. Joins Butler Rubin as a Partner
CHICAGO, November 5, 2009 – Albert E. Fowerbaugh, Jr.
has joined the
Chicago law firm Butler Rubin Saltarelli
& Boyd LLP as a partner. At
Butler Rubin, Fowerbaugh will concentrate his practice in complex commercial
litigation and class action defense.
Most recently, Fowerbaugh was a
partner at DLA Piper in Chicago and represented
a variety of clients including insurers and financial institutions throughout
the United
States in federal trial and appellate courts
as well as in private arbitrations and significant commercial disputes. He has
substantial experience in reinsurance arbitrations and the defense of consumer
class actions brought against insurers and other financial institutions and has
repeatedly been named an Illinois Super Lawyer.
A magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Kenyon College, Fowerbaugh received his law
degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1989.
Formed in 1980, Chicago-based Butler
Rubin has established itself as a
well-known litigation boutique assisting clients nationally and internationally
in the core practice areas of reinsurance and commercial litigation, including
antitrust, competition law and opt-out antitrust litigation; business
