Butler Rubin Hosts Annual "Women in Reinsurance" Event in New York City
CHICAGO, August
12, 2010 – The Chicago-based law
firm Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP will host its annual Women in
ReinsuranceTM (WIR) event on November 4th featuring generational expert Dr.
Jan Ferri-Reed.
Founded by Butler Rubin, WIR regularly sponsors events of interest to
professional women in the reinsurance industry and fosters networking and
information sharing.
Butler Rubin partners Julie Rodriguez
Aldort, Randi Ellias, Catherine Isely, Amy Kelley and Teresa Snider will host
the WIR program at the Michelangelo Hotel in New
York.
At the 2010 WIR event,
Dr. Ferri-Reed will present "The Four-Way Intersection:
Effectively Communicating Across the
Generations." It has been suggested
that each generation is shaped by the events in force during its adolescent
years: “Silent
Generation” (born 1925 to 1945); “Baby Boomer”
generation (born 1945 - 1964); “Generation X” (born
1965-1979); and “Millennial Generation” (born
1980-1999).
With four
generations currently in the workplace, the issues of understanding and working
well with each other grow more challenging. Dr.
Ferri-Reed explains how to identify trends and preferences for each
generation, bridge the gaps, and communicate with, coach, and mentor colleagues
effectively.
Dr. Ferri-Reed is the author of the Amazon best-selling
book, “Keeping the Millennials: Why Companies are Losing Billions in
Turnover to This Generation and What To Do About it.” In addition, she is a seasoned
consultant and President of KEYGroup, an organization devoted to creating
competitive workplaces and providing leadership training, executive coaching,
and employee assessment solutions.
Formed in 1980, Chicago-based Butler Rubin has
established itself as a well-known litigation boutique assisting clients
nationally and internationally in the core practice areas of reinsurance and

antitrust litigation; business reorganization, bankruptcy and insolvency; class
