CHICAGO, March 13, 2018 – Butler Rubin partner Mark Schwartz has been invited to speak at ExecuSummit’s 3rd Annual Reps & Warranties & Transactional Liability Insurance conference on May 15-16, 2018 at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center and Hotel in Uncasville, CT. Schwartz’s panel will present on “Claims: Several Years in to the Product, How Are Claims Developing and What Are the Key Issues?”

Schwartz concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, with a particular focus on the insurance and financial services industries. Much of his work involves high-stakes litigation for clients within the insurance industry.  Schwartz has represented insurers in bet-the-company fraud cases, insurance coverage claims involving hundreds of millions of dollars, and reinsurance disputes testing novel allocation and notice issues.  He also has experience representing clients in post-closing disputes arising from alleged fraud and breaches of representations and warranties in the course of mergers and acquisitions.  In his reinsurance practice, Schwartz has litigated and arbitrated issues related to allocation, bad faith, misrepresentation and non-disclosure, claim handling, and agency.

Formed in 1980, Chicago-based Butler Rubin assists clients nationally and internationally in complex business disputes in both arbitration and litigation, including those involving antitrust and distribution, class actions, defense of corporate directors and officers, employment, financial services, healthcare, insurance, post-closing disputes and reinsurance.
