Employment Law

Representative Matters

Butler Rubin labor and employment attorneys work with national and regional clients in a broad range of industries to provide solutions to their immediate and long-term labor-management and employment concerns.

We represent our clients in investigations, arbitrations, state and federal court litigation, and litigation before the NLRB and other government agencies and self-regulatory authorities.

Our lawyers have extensive experience investigating, counseling, negotiating and litigating class/collective actions, multi-plaintiff, single plaintiff and individual matters involving employment discrimination, sexual and other forms of harassment, retaliation, whistleblower protections under state and federal law, wrongful termination, FMLA and state leave laws, ERISA, employee benefits, unfair labor practice charges, union organizing, collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, FINRA arbitration, executive compensation, FLSA and state wage/hour laws, WARN Act and state mini-WARN Acts, HIPAA, employment contracts, separation agreements, affirmative action, defamation, confidentiality agreements, restrictive covenants, trade secret protection and related labor and employment torts.

Recognizing that our clients benefit from early, efficient and successful resolution of each of their matters, we provide early case assessments and detailed planning and budgeting and continually communicate and reevaluate matters with our clients. We also work with our clients to protect their assets (including their intellectual property assets) from improper use or conversion by current and former employees by drafting effective NDAs and restrictive covenants and by successfully enforcing and defending these commitments when challenged.
